What does this privacy policy cover?

This policy covers how Vola. treats personal information that Vola collects and receives. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Vola does not own or control (such as Apple, Inc., the Apple iTunes Store, or Facebook) or to people that Vola does not employ or manage.

Personally-Identifiable Information

Personally-Identifiable Information (PII) is data that could potentially identify a specific individual.

Depending on the services you choose, we may collect your PII from a third party that helps us verify your identity and bank account details, including, but not limited to, a copy of your government-issued photo ID or a bank statement. Sharing Information with Third Parties

We don’t share or sell your information for commercial purposes. However, all financial companies need to share customers’ personal information to run their everyday business.

In order to most effectively serve you, we use services from established third party payment providers (such as with PLAID TECHNOLOGIES INC, Lithic Inc, Patriot Bank, N.A) to handle credit card transactions and order fulfillment. These companies receive the information needed to verify and authorize your credit card or other payment information and to process and ship your order.

Vola Finance utilizes user data for interest-based advertising purposes (i.e., displaying ads and ad retargeting). Specifically, Vola uses services like Meta Ads, Google Ads, and TikTok Ads to enhance user experience by tailoring ads to a user’s interests and behaviors. To opt-out of TikTok Ads tracking, follow these steps:

1. From your profile page, go into the hamburger menu in the top-right corner.

2. Click “Settings and Privacy”.

3. Under “Content & Display,” click “Ads”

4. Under “Manage your off-TikTok data,” toggle off “Using Off-TikTok activity for ad targeting”.

Confidentiality and Security

Vola has physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect personal information about you.

No internet or e-mail transmission is ever fully secure or error free. Vola encourages users to use SSH and SCP (secure Telnet and FTP) programs in order to better safeguard your personal information.

Vola is not responsible for any disclosure or “leak” of your personal and nonpersonal information should any of measures by providers of mobile telephone services (Apple iPhone, Apple iOS, and Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon) fail to work for any reason.

Your Choices as a User

Once your VOLA member account profile has been created, you can review and revise that information by visiting your settings page on the application.

You may terminate your account with us at any time by submitting a request to hello@volafinance.com. Please note that we may retain your personal data and other information beyond the end of your relationship with us in accordance with our internal record-keeping policies and with applicable law, including to comply with legal reporting obligations.

Notice for Minors

Persons under the age of 17 may not use VOLA in any way. We do not knowingly collect information from users below the age of 17. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under 17 we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

Your California Privacy Rights

We give users who are California residents the following information upon their request: (1) the types of personal information we share with third parties for the third party's marketing purposes, and (2) the identities of the third parties with whom we have shared this information during the immediately preceding calendar year.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
